As the name implies, this section presents short overviews of positions expressed by professionals on a variety of topics, all of which have important implications for the health of minorities in general and the health of African Americans in particular. While the positions expressed are their own, these professionals, by virtue of their backgrounds and areas of expertise, are qualified to have and expresses these views.  As the web site grows, it is anticipated that the wide variety of topics will include the following: cardiovascular diseases, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, lupos, glaucoma, sickle cell, allergies, nutrition, exercise, compliance with medication, substance use/abuse, access to and utilization of medical care and resources, etc.
